How Canine Kinesiology Works

Listening to the Body. Supporting the Whole Dog.

Changes in behaviour, mood, energy, or movement are often signs of deeper stress, overload, or imbalance within the body and nervous system.

Whether your dog is anxious, reactive, sensitive, recovering, ageing, or simply not quite themselves, kinesiology helps us understand what their body is communicating — and how to support true balance.

Through gentle muscle-response testing and observation, I work with your dog’s own feedback to identify:

  • Where stress is being held in the body
  • How emotions may be influencing behaviour
  • What the nervous system needs to feel safe and regulated
  • Which physical or energetic systems are under strain?
  • How the dog is responding to their environment, relationships, and life stages etcetera

From this information, I apply appropriate balancing techniques to help the body and brain return to a state of greater ease, adaptability, and self-regulation.

Your dog is never forced, restrained, or pushed beyond their comfort level. I work at their pace, with their consent, allowing the body to guide the process.

Who This Is For?

I support all dogs and pet parents — not just those in crisis.

My work is ideal for:

  • Dogs experiencing anxiety, fear, reactivity, or shutdown
  • Behavioral changes with no clear cause
  • Stress after life transitions or environmental changes (new home, new family member, loss, routine changes)
  • Sensitivity to environments, people, or handling
  • Senior dogs experiencing physical tension, discomfort, mobility changes, or recovery support
  • Pre- or Post-operative care
  • Developmental and life-stage changes (puppy, adolescent, senior)

You don’t need a diagnosis or a problem label.
If you feel your dog needs support, that’s reason enough.
